One of my favorite parts about a wedding day is the dance party!! And, even more so when the dance party is so epic that no one wants to leave the wedding dance floor! I think it’s one of my favorite parts of the day because everyone starts to let loose and just HAVE FUN!! Plus, I always end up dancing and singing too because I just can’t help myself! Since no one wants an empty dance and I am VERY for having an epic dance party for wedding days, I have compiled my top 3 tips on how to keep the party going and get people to dance all night long! Know your audience and guests!! Think: are the majority of the guests 90s kids who loved boy bands? Or did everyone grow up in the Bay Area and can get down to E40? You get the idea!! So, when you are thinking about how you can keep your wedding dance floor packed all night… start with that! Set the tone that it’s going to be a GREAT dancing experience from the jump. And, I recommend, talking to your DJ about making sure the first 30 minutes are absolute BANGERS to get the momentum going!

Invite people to the wedding dance floor!! Tell your bridal party that when the music starts it’s time to drag people out to the dance floor! If the music is good, people won’t hesitate when they are personally invited to dance!

Have props! This is the best to photograph too and creates a ton of fun memories! Think: funny glasses, glow sticks that are cheap from the dollar store, plastic musical instruments, whatever resonates with your guests the most! Get creative and have fun with this! The more fun you have with the props the more fun your guests will have on the dance floor! Plus, having something to interact with on the wedding dance floor makes the shy ones a little less shy!
